Medical Services

Walk-in Practice

Medical issues can arrive unexpectedly, whether it is becoming ill or getting injured. Our clinic provides walk-in services for the neighbourhood and surrounding communities during all hours of operation.

Family Practice

It is very important to have an effective patient-doctor relationship. This allows your primary physician to develop a comprehensive working knowledge of your medical history. When your doctor understands your specific needs, it is easier to develop a care plan that will work for you. At Balm in Gilead Medical Centres, we strongly believe that the patient should be involved in their own care. By working closely with our doctors, our patients are more likely to succeed and reach their health management goals.

Uninsured Services

Typically most office visits are covered by our provincial health plan. However, it is important to understand that not all procedures are covered. Some services are considered not a medical requirement by the Alberta Health and Wellness and therefore uninsured. It is the patient’s responsibility to pay for any uninsured services.

Uninsured services may include but are not limited to:

* Driver’s Medical under the age of 74.5
* Treatment of non-plantar warts
* Circumcisions
* Medical Legal Reports
* Insurance Forms
* Disability and Benefit Forms
* Attending Physician’s Statement
* Blue Cross Special Authorization Form
* Employment Insurance Form
* Out of Country Office Visits
* Office visit without valid Health Care Card
